Let’s face it, most people fail at their business. Among all factors, NOT having a clear road map is most critical. In other words, you need to know where you are heading and where you are now. So in this post, as a Pro Proxier, I’d like to share with you a road map to your successful proxy business.

Basically, we can divide your journey into 3 stages:

1. New Proxier Stage

This  is the beginning stage of your proxy business. In this stage, you get to know some basics of proxy, build you first proxy site, gain some traffic, and make small amount of money. The following are some key characteristics of this stage:

• Site Revenue
  $0 – $50 per month.
• Site Traffic
  0 – 500 visits per proxy site per day.
• Site Host
  Shared proxy hosting, maximum bandwidth < 300GB per month.
• Total Number of Sites
  1 – 10 web proxy sites.
• Site Building
  Use free downloaded themes and plug-ins; Make some changes for logo, color, and wordings.
• Monetization Methods
  Google Adsense on the homepage and a couple of CPM Ad Banners on the proxied page.
• Site Promotion
  Have no promotion plan or promote randomly through Proxy TopSites.
• Advertisement Cost
  $0 – $20 per month.

2. Semi-Pro Proxier Stage

This  is the growth stage of your proxy business. In this stage, you get more familiar with the server setup and theme customization, build more proxy sites, sign up more ad networks, generate more traffic through several advertisement methods, and make more money every day. Below are some key characteristics of this stage:

• Site Revenue
  $50 – $500 per month.
• Site Traffic
  500 – 3,000 visits per proxy site per day.
• Site Host
  VPS (Virtual Private Sever) or entry-level Dedicated Server (1-2GB Memory, 1-2 CPUs, 1TB – 3TB Bandwidth).
• Total Number of Sites
  10 – 50 proxy sites.
• Site Building
  Have 2-3 different customized themes optimized for ad placement and user experience. Apply various plug-ins targeted for popular sites like Facebook, MySpace, or YouTube.
• Monetization Methods
  Have CPM Ad Banners from 2 – 5 different Ad Networks; Have received first paycheck from Goolge Adsense (or Your Adsense account has already been banned by Google).
• Promotion Methods
  Promote regularly through several channels such as Paid Ads, Email Blast, and Proxy List.
• Advertisement Cost
  $20 – $250 per month.

3. Pro Proxier Stage

This  is the mature stage of your proxy business. In this stage, you master all essential skills of proxy site configuration and server optimization, run your own proxy network, use a systematic promotion routine to attract huge traffic, and make money through multiple income sources. Some key characteristics of this stage are as follows:

• Site Revenue
  $500 – $3,000 per month.
• Site Traffic
  3,000 – 10,000 visits per proxy site per day.
• Site Host
  1-5 premium Dedicated Servers (8GB Memory, 4-8 CPUs, Unlimited Bandwidth).
• Total Number of Sites
  Have a proxy network with 50 – 250 proxy sites.
• Site Building
  Have more than 5 different customized themes; Apply various tools or widgets to enhance the site usability and functionality.
• Monetization Methods
  Have Ad Banners from 5 – 10 different Ad Networks; Experiment multiple revenue channels such as Affiliate Products, Sponsored Ads, or Paid Membership; In most cases, Google Adsense account has already been banned.

• Promotion Methods
  Have a well-planned routine to promote proxy sites through multiple channels such as Paid Ads, Email Blast, User Groups, Proxy List, Proxy TopSites, Social Media, Blogs, Forums, or Niche Markets.

• Advertisement Cost
  $250 – $500 per month.
• Business Management
  Apply an automated system to track the site performance, promotion schedule, and daily revenue.
