Since you come to ProProxier site, I guess you might have some thoughts about making money online.  Especially in today’s world, a lot of people lost their jobs due to recession. They turn to Internet to see if there are any opportunities for them. In fact, there are MANY. I believe you have heard people making amazing 6 figure income, or even over a million dollars through Internet. So you may wonder, can I do the same thing as well? Or at least make some pocket money, if not a big amount?

Of course you can. Besides, many people are trying to tell you how to do it. Chances are you already receive over 5 emails per day introducing various ways to make money online. The popular ones are like Blogging, Affiliate Marketing, Email Marketing, Google Money, or Online Dating. But the question is:

At the end of the day, what is for YOU?

Before we look at it in details, I’d like to share with you one of my insights about the Internet business, or how to make money online.

Basically, no mater what kind of systems you follow, it all narrows down to one key factor – TRAFFIC. Just like in Real Estate, the most important is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION; while on Internet, it is TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC. Once you have it, you are holding the golden key to the great treasure online.

But how to attract traffic? In general, there are two ways:

1. Create Contents

To most of Blog and Affiliate Marketing sites, Content is King. People visit those sites to look for valuable tips, unique perspective, or latest information from contents. So a good Blogger or Internet Marketer is usually a good copywriter and  subject-matter expert. He or she must keep creating killer contents to build the relationship and grow the traffic. In essence, it is a writing-based business.

2. Build Applications

Big sites such as Google, Facebook, or Twitter build applications for people to search information and connect with each other online; While small sites create tools, plug-ins, or themes for people to use. Therefore, they attract traffic by providing software or services people want. In essence, it is a programming-based business.

But what if you are not a Writer or Programmer now?

One option is, you can start to learn how to write or develop. There are some great online programs, such as Blog Mastermind or Niche Marketing Classroom. Of course, it takes time and effort. As a beginner, you may expect at least 3-6 months before getting some meaningful income.

Another option is, you can find someone to do it for you, such as hiring a freelance writer or programmer through elance, or partnering with some experts from your network. However, it costs you some upfront money, plus the searching and screening process is often long and complicated.
